Well - we got notice yesterday from the Landlord that she wants us OUT in 30 days! Can you imagine? She has perfect tenants in her home, paying her mortgage and keeping the home beautiful. Unfortunately for her she wants to get all her cash out of her home. The house is listed and I fear she is in denial. Her house is listed for too much money - it is a buyers market and the days on the market are running about 200-250 for all houses. She has had it listed for 4 months now, she has it listed at 730K when all the other houses in the neighborhood are listed at 680K, not more than a dozen people have come by to see it, and they had an open house two weeks ago and not one person came.... Sellers are just not getting it. People are not buying right now.... and unfortunately it's going to get worse out there before it gets better.
Anyways - I am taking this as a sign that I need to get off my tuckus and go buy me a house the "real estate investor" way and go do some creative financing. If I intend to ever be a "real" real estate investor - I better not go rent a house the old fashioned way and certianly not go buy a house that is listed with an agent and then get traditional financing! I will be the laughing stock for sure....
